Wick trimmers are essential tools for maintaining the longevity and optimal performance of your candles.

Follow the steps below to learn how to use them:

  1. Ensure that your wick trimmers are clean and free from any debris or residue. This will help prevent any unwanted particles from transferring onto your candle wicks.

  2. Place your candle on a stable surface, such as a table or countertop. Make sure it is in a safe and secure position, away from any flammable materials.

  3. Before trimming, examine the length of the candle wick. Ideally, the wick should be trimmed to about ¼ inch (6mm) before lighting it. A longer wick can cause excessive soot, uneven burning, and potentially lead to safety hazards.

  4. Gently open the wick trimmers by spreading the handles apart. Ensure that the blades are facing upwards.

  5. Place the opened wick trimmers above the candle wick, just above the surface of the wax. The blades should be aligned with the wick.

  6. With a steady hand, press the handles of the wick trimmers together, allowing the blades to cut through the wick. Apply gentle pressure to avoid damaging the wick or the candle itself.

  7. After trimming the wick, release the pressure on the handles and carefully remove the trimmed piece of wick from the trimmers. Dispose of it properly.

  8. Take a moment to ensure that the wick is cleanly cut and free from any loose ends or debris. This will help maintain a clean burn for your candle.

  9. Carefully close the wick trimmers by bringing the handles back together. Store them in a safe place until their next use.

Remember, regular wick trimming is crucial for a clean and efficient burn. It helps to prevent excessive smoke, soot, and mushrooming of the wick, ultimately prolonging the life of your candle.

How to use

Wood Wick Instructions

Hold the candle at an angle when lighting; This is helpful if you are having issues with the wick catching fire.

Before each use, trim excess burnt wood on the wick to 1/8-1/4”. This is very important! If not properly trimmed, the wick may not light, or the flame may be too high. The wood wick should be very close to the wax to stay lit and burn effectively.

Allow the wax to melt across the entire diameter of your candle on each burn (approximately 2-4 hours). This helps prevent tunneling, which can impact how well the candle burns

Do not burn continuously for more than 4 hours

Do not use candles sleeves

Keep candles away from children and pets

Keep lit candles in view and never leave lit candles unattended

Keep lit candles away from drafts and other flammable materials

Only burn on a level, heat-resistant surfaces

Cotton Wick Instructions
